What I really liked about Dr. Pompei was that she involved you in the decision making process. You can tell her what you envision your teeth to be, or give her your expectations and your suggestions about how you think it can be done, and she will talk you through whether it is feasible or not. “Dr. Pompei has worked over the past 20 months to give me the smile I’ve always wanted. Throughout my treatment, she has been very attentive to my expected results, and explained each step of the process to me, so that I was knowledgeable about what she was trying to accomplish. She has gone above and beyond to make our visits pleasant, always asking how I was doing, how my kids were doing, and what they thought about my smile. At our appointments, I felt like I was her only patient because she never forgot any details and always made me feel comfortable. “8 months ago I gave Dr. Pompeii an impossible task of fixing my smile in time for my wedding. I had buck teeth, a bad underbite, and terrible crowding on the bottom. Even though treatment isn’t complete yet, she was able to get me a great looking picture smile just in time for my wedding. I had a combination of both Invisalign, and traditional braces to get the most drastic results in the short period of time. Most notably, Dr. Pompeii made herself available during every step of the process. If something would feel different after an appointment for adjustments, she would reply to emails at night moments after hitting send. Sorry for that! I would recommend Dr. Pompeii to anyone and everyone.”

“Dr. Pompei is the absolute best orthodontist in NYC and certainly within the Chelsea area. This was my second time getting braces and the difference between my former experience and this one is night and day. Dr. Pompei is extremely gifted and also very patient—you really feel like you’re involved in making the decisions about your treatment plan. I started seeing Dr. Pompei in 2017 and have since undergone Invisalign, braces, and jaw surgery. Dr. Pompei was along my side every step of the way and I can’t imagine having undergone such an intense treatment plan without her! “Dr. Pompei is exceptional, not just an orthodontist, but as a medical professional in general. She’s incredibly detail oriented, amazing at explaining the technicalities in plain language, and truly puts the patient first. I confess, I gave her a bit of a hard time. As an adult doing orthodontic treatment, I was pretty whiny and just wanted it to be over as quickly as possible. I think I even pressured her to speed up the movement. She patiently convinced me, visit after visit, that it was not a good idea. I’m glad she did. But where Dr. Pompei really shined was when my treatment became incredibly complicated during the beginning of the pandemic. I had to relocate to the other side of the country, and she went way above and beyond to help me remotely, ensure I got a fair refund for services not performed, and she found me a great orthodontist in my new location – one who successfully took over my treatment and got me to a happy place. I consider myself lucky to have been in her capable hands.”

“I couldn’t be happier with service received from Dr. Renee and her staff. She was one of very few orthodontists in NYC who agreed to continue my lingual braces-based treatment after I moved to the city from abroad. She explained transparently how the entire process would look like and offered an affordable price. Dr. Renee was extremely professional, supportive and truly committed throughout the entire process. She was always going an extra mile to accommodate my busy schedule and was willing to go above and beyond in cases of emergency. She also recommended additional means of treatment to ensure I am happy with the results (e.g., rubber bands).
