Early orthodontic intervention, also known as Phase 1 orthodontic treatment, aims to guide the growth of your child’s jaw and bite. Not every child will need early orthodontic intervention— but for children who do, treatment can make room for erupting permanent teeth, prevent tooth extractions and reduce your child’s risk of developing more severe orthodontic issues in the future.
